Mark Miller has a combined 40 years experience in technology and investment research. Past tech industry positions include: NASA-Goddard, 3M, Seagate and Control Data as well at firms now part of Western Digital. His 25 years of technical research and management experience included 40 publications and seven patents in the areas of data storage, materials science, and optics. During his tenure at NASA-Goddard, Mark was the senior optical design engineer on the Cosmic Background Explorer (COBE) mission which measured the Big Bang radiation. The COBE mission results were recognized with the 2006 Noble Prize in Physics. His investment research focuses on data storage, lasers, photonics, and semiconductor equipment. His investment research recommendations have received recognition three times in the Wall Street Journal's annual "Best on The Street" survey of sell side analysts and twice by Starmine. In 2006, Mark was ranked #1 by the Wall Street Journal for his recommendations in the computer peripherals space and was ranked #1 by Starmine in 2011 for his recommendations in the Electronic and Electrical Equipment segment. Mr. Miller received his bachelor's in physics from Johns Hopkins University and was a graduate instructor at Hopkins. He also holds a M.S. and was a Ph.D. candidate in physics at the University of Maryland, College Park. Mr. Miller earned a MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, where he was elected to membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma national business honorary society.
