Derek has over 30 years of investment banking experience advising Technology and Telecom companies. Derek specializes in structuring and executing M&A and capital-raising transactions for growth companies primarily in the Software and Technology sectors. He has over 20 years experience at boutique investment bank Ion Partners LLC, which he co-founded, and Progress Partners, where he was Managing Director. Derek began his career at Lehman Brothers in the TMT group executing IPOs and equity offerings in the U.S. and globally. Derek earned his Master’s in Public and Private Management (MPPM) from Yale School of Management in 1992, and received a B.A. in Economics from Amherst College in 1987.
